IDC Architecture Month 2019 with Paola Amodeo

Join us for a lecture by Paola Amodeo, Assoc. AIA, who talks about Perugia and the region of Umbria, including its history, beauty, and architectural evolution from a small medieval town to a thriving city featuring works by architects Jean Nouvel and Aldo Rossi.
Presented by: Paola Amodeo, Assoc. AIA
Born and raised in Italy, Amodeo attended law school before moving to Japan for two years where design and culture inspired her present-day ethos.
She completed her Master of Architecture at the University of Michigan where she received numerous awards and scholarships while working at the Cranbrook Architectural Office and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in Detroit.
In California, Amodeo worked for the Los Angeles County Public Works—Capital Projects Section and Narduli Studio, an interdisciplinary design firm linking architecture and art. In 2008, she headed east where she founded Paolasquare International outside Washington, DC with another Italian architect. In 2015, she founded the award-winning design studio Paola One Design—P.O.D, which specializes in small commercial and residential projects.
